Activity Name:
Crochet Club
Description of Proposed Activity:
I will attend crochet club on every Friday and learn to crochet various items which can be sold at the crotchet club stall later in the year - the funds raised will be donated to charity.
Proposed Activity Supervisor:
Mrs Wright
What challenges and/or new skills will this activity provide?
For this activity, I will obviously need to learn how to crochet as I currently do not know how to. Once I have learnt to basic skills, I will work towards crocheting items such as beanies or keyrings etc. which can be sold at the stall.
What do you want to achieve from your participation in this activity?
I hope that by the end of term I have mastered the basic skills of crochet and have been able to crochet some items for the stall. One crocheted item that I would like to be able to make by the end of the semester is a crocheted small Kirby keyring and as well as beanie that is well made enough to be sold at the stall.
What evidence could be appropriate for this activity?
I will take photographic evidence of my progress during the semester as well as a report of my attendance by Mrs Wright.
Which learning outcomes may be appropriate to reflect on for this activity?
o Undertaken new challenges
o Worked collaboratively with others
o Engages with issues of global importance
o Developed new skills
